These 17" jumbo steel wool pads come in varying grades, which range from extremely fine (#0000) to extra coarse (#4), and are meant to be used with a low speed floor buffer. Depending on the grade that you order, you can do things such as stripping a tough paste wax with a coarse pad, and buff a parquet floor to a brilliant luster with a fine pad. The jumbo construction creates a thick and fluffy pad that allows for maximum absorbency and minimal clogging. Each pad is hand wrapped, which is what creates that thick and fluffy pad. When you're finished using each pad, or if one starts to clog up during use, you can shake, blow out, or vacuum up any built up material within the pad for a more effective steel wool pad.
