History: | This French wall tapestry, Grandes Armoiries Creme, was designed by Pierre Josse Perrot. Different versions were woven at the Gobelins at the beginning of the 18th century. The original pieces are at the Louvre and at the Versailles castle. The arms are those of the French Kingdom: three gold fleurs de lys on azure blue, woven on a light background. |
